Arteriovenous fistulas of the circumflex and right coronary arteries with drainage into an aneurysmal coronary sinus.
The images presented here are from a 44-year-old asymptomatic man. At age 36 years, he experienced nonsustained atrial fibrillation. A year later, a transthoracic echocardiogram disclosed an enlarged left ventricle (diastolic dimension, 7.4 cm; ejection fraction, 56%) and a very large coronary sinus with Doppler color flow evidence of diastolic and systolic turbulence consistent with entry of a...
متن کاملCoronary arteriovenous fistula with aneurysm of coronary sinus.
Abnormal communications of the coronary vascular system are rare, the majority of instances having been described in children or young adults (Gasul et al., 1960; Papaioannou et al., 1962). The commonest vessel to be involved is the right coronary artery, and the communication is usually with the right heart chambers or the pulmonary artery. A patient who was asymptomatic for 64 years, with a c...
متن کاملGiant coronary sinus aneurysm secondary to right coronary arteriovenous fistula leading to pseudo-mitral stenosis
We herein report a case in which a right coronary to coronary sinus arteriovenous fistula determined progressive aneurysmatic dilatation of the coronary sinus. Severe compression of the left atrium ensued. This led to a clinical and instrumental picture similar to that observed in severe mitral stenosis.
متن کاملA Giant Unruptured Right Coronary Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysm
There have been few case reports on giant sinus of Valsalva aneurysm (SVA). We report a case of a giant unruptured right coronary SVA that was confused with a pericardial cyst by transthoracic echocardiography.
متن کاملMultiple right coronary artery fistulas to coronary sinus: A case report and literature review
BACKGROUND Coronary arteriovenous fistula is a rare congenital or acquired abnormal connection between a coronary artery and any of the great vessels or any of the heart chambers. Most of them are diagnosed during routine coronary angiography. CASE REPORT This case report illustrates a successful surgical ligating of multiple right coronary artery and circumflex artery fistulas to coronary si...
